While her pudendum fluttered,

She uttered: “After church,

I thought about our recent heavenly union,

Felt myself up,

Took a nap,

Watched a dream film

Featuring your features,

And longed for you.

“I awoke,

Cooked dinner,

And kneaded my breasts

With the need of a newborn,

And longed for you.

“I knew there was something

Hotter than our new stew pot,

And that heat was hoping

You’d bring your behemoth hunger

For my inner dinner.

I burned, turned,

And longed for you.

“I scaled the apex

Of my sex,

Discovering bliss

By touching my clitoris,

And longed for you. 

“I creamed,

I beamed,

I dreamed,

And longed for you.”

JEM Jones, the late poet and teacher, dedicated her life to the betterment of others. Her published work appeared in 38 states and five countries. She also composed two chapbooks, Veiled Truths and Travelin' on Faith/Travelin' on Credit.
